Street and Curb Repair - July 10th

Starting 7/10/2024, major improvements will be taking place in our city! These include:

• 🔷 New ADA Curb Ramps
• 🔷 Street Paving

Affected Areas:

• Washington Street (from High to Park Ave)
• Inslee Avenue
• Thomas Street
• Bruck Avenue

Please stay alert for temporary detours or street closures. Remember to refrain from parking in designated restricted areas and always follow posted speed limits for everyone's safety.

DLS Contracting, Inc. is pleased to announce the award of a contract with the City of Perth Amboy to help maintain traffic safety in your community. The work will include the milling of:

• Washington Avenue
• From Park Avenue to State Street
• From State Street to High Street

Please be advised:

The start date for this work is yet to be determined and is dependent on weather conditions. This notice serves as the official announcement of the upcoming milling operations.

Important Information for Residents:

• Utility Markings: You may notice yellow, blue, green, and/or red spray paint markings on the roads and sidewalks. These marks are to help locate underground utilities in the area.
• Sprinkler Systems and Invisible Dog Fences: If you have a sprinkler system or an invisible dog fence near the curb and sidewalk area, please mark their locations with a flag, spray paint, or any other identifying marker for the contractor.

Construction Details:

• Work Hours: Monday through Friday, from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
• Driveway Access: Unless notified otherwise by DLS Contracting, Inc., driveways will remain accessible during concrete work but will be inaccessible during the milling/paving operations. A separate notice will be provided in advance of the milling/paving operations.

Project Duration and Safety:

• Inconveniences: There will be some inconveniences throughout the work zone. However, every effort will be made to minimize disruptions.
• Safety Precautions: Please proceed with caution while traveling through the work zone. Portions of on-street parking will be prohibited during the work. Please observe the No Parking signs.
