Stacey Peralta, Council Member

Stacey Peralta is a dedicated public servant committed to enhancing education and community development in Perth Amboy, New Jersey. She was elected to the City Council in 2024, beginning her first term alongside Mayor Helmin J. Caba and Councilwoman Rose B. Morales. 

Prior to her council role, Peralta served as President of the Perth Amboy Board of Education from January 2022, demonstrating her leadership in educational policy and administration. Since 2017, she has been the Preschool Director at the Puerto Rican Association for Human Development (PRAHD), where she oversees staff management, budget planning, and program development, emphasizing educational excellence and adherence to state and Board of Education standards. 

Peralta's dedication to the community is further exemplified by her participation in the "2020 Vision for Perth Amboy" campaign, where she was part of a team of qualified candidates running for the city's Board of Education.   

Her election to the City Council signifies a continuation of her commitment to public service, where she aims to leverage her extensive experience to address the city's challenges and contribute to a thriving Perth Amboy for all residents.
