West Side Area Roadway Improvements
The City of Perth Amboy is moving forward with roadway improvements in the West Side area,
including West Side Avenue, Johnstone Street, and Penn Street. This work is part of ongoing
efforts to maintain safe and reliable infrastructure for residents.
Work is expected to begin on or about Wednesday, May 13, 2026,
weather permitting.

Milling, paving, and line striping

Construction Hours:
Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM
What Residents Should Expect

All vehicles must be removed from active work areas during construction hours.

Temporary loss of driveway or parking access during active construction.

Residents are asked to provide access to affected properties to help expedite the work.

Please keep pets indoors or away from active work areas for safety.

Increased construction activity and temporary traffic impacts in the area.

Please follow all posted traffic and construction signage.
