Governor Murphy Breaks Ground on New Perth Amboy High School

Governor Phil Murphy, joined by Assembly Speaker Craig Coughlin, SDA CEO Manuel Da Silva, and local officials, broke ground on the new Perth Amboy High School on September 27, 2021. This project is the largest ever undertaken by the New Jersey Schools Development Authority (SDA). The new high school will feature state-of-the-art facilities, including specialized labs and educational spaces, designed to accommodate 3,300 students and address overcrowding in Perth Amboy Public Schools. The $283.8 million investment will support over 2,000 jobs and is expected to open in September 2024.
