Perth Amboy Hometown Trolley

Take a Free Ride Through Perth Amboy

The free Hometown Trolley runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursdays through Sundays, offering residents and visitors a convenient way to explore Perth Amboy.

This seasonal service, funded by the Urban Enterprise Zone (UEZ) program, is available until December 31, with plans to resume in spring 2025.

Highlights of the Trolley Route

  • Downtown District: Smith Street
  • Perth Amboy Municipal Complex: 357 New Brunswick Ave.
  • Harbortown: 598 State St.
  • City Marina: Gordon and Front streets
  • City Hall: 260 High St., the oldest operating city hall in the state

Trolley Features

  • Seats approximately 28 passengers
  • Free Wi-Fi
  • Cupholders and phone charging ports

Important Information

Trolley rides are weather permitting. Look for trolley stop signs around the city to hop on and enjoy this unique transportation option.
