Mission Statement

To cultivate and empower Perth Amboy’s future leaders by providing a safe place where they can have access to resources, tools for success, life skills training and participate in educational and leisure activities.

Purpose:

The center will provide a safe place where teens can interact with their peers and engage in recreational, social and educational programs and activities.
From 4pm – 5pm youth can have access to do their homework in a quiet space and participate in programming, activities or enjoy the space from 6:00pm – 8:00pm. A monthly calendar is distributed on our social media pages noting dates and times of upcoming programs and special events.

What will it provide:

The center provides workshops such as job readiness, resume writing, networking, interviewing skills, financial literacy, FAFSA help, gardening 101 (using a vertical aeroponic growing system and our outdoor community garden), and more.
Recreational programs such as tennis (in our new remodeled tennis courts next to our building), Zumba, beach volleyball, bowling, running, group walks, and more.
The center will offer youth an opportunity join clubs such as the book club, step team, video game club and more.
It is the home base of the Perth Amboy Youth Alliance, funded by the Governor’s Council of Alcoholism and Drug Abuse, is a group of high school students who focuses on community service, academic success, leadership development and overall how to live a healthy lifestyle away.
Special trips will be offered to colleges, museums, events and more.
