The City of Perth Amboy has been a participant of the New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs Project Medicine Drop Initiative since March 2013.
Perth Amboy currently serves as one of 14 municipalities in Middlesex County participating and has a permanent prescription drug drop off location in the Perth Amboy Police Department located at 365 New Brunswick Avenue.
Through this initiative, the public could dispose of unused and expired prescription medications safely, securely and anonymously - 24hours/7days a week.
For safety reasons, the drop box can only accept medications such as pills, patches, inhalers and similar objects. Liquids, medical waste, or syringes are NOT accepted.
